Review of Surprise Grass Fed Meat Box
If you’re like me and have been looking everywhere online for 100% natural, healthy, clean meat sourced from the best farms in the UK but also need it to be affordable, then you’ve just found the place. When looking through the shop and adding up all the different products I was after, I was a bit overwhelmed by the cost and then thought, surly a meat box would get me a months worth of meat but for much better value? Well this box not only does just that, but I’ve also been getting THEE most amazing cuts and types of meat which I would never otherwise have thought to buy. We’re all so used eating standard cuts of meat which the supermarkets offer; chicken breast, pork chops, mince… over and over – bored! But with the Surprise Box from Primal Meats, I’m getting all the great cuts of meat I’m used to (beef, chicken, lamb, pork) but also things like pheasant, pigeon, rabbit, veal and more! And it’s all the best quality you could hope for with a very noticeable taste difference – be prepared to actually cry tears of joy over a stew or your grannies mince ‘n’ tatties recipe.
I honestly can’t praise Caroline and the team at Primal Meats more for putting all of this great meat right into our hands and supporting sustainable, healthy farming in the UK. Seriously she’s right – vote with your pound! By putting your money into high quality farming, you’re supporting it too. We need to get everyone eating like this again. And seriously, this box is amazing value for money. I’m spending exactly what I did before (if not less!) on meat every month but also getting quality I can trust. You seriously can’t do better.

Review of Subscription Meat Box
Eating well is of huge importance to us as a family with gluten and lactose intolerances but we are also on a very low income. We are quite educated about nutrition and food choices and are changing the way we eat to be as ethical and sustainable as possible. We felt that eating less meat was the way forward and that anything we would purchase would have to be the highest quality we could buy, rather than continuing the same level of consumption of the highest quality we could afford [which was roughly £25 per week in Aldi]. I was impressed by Primal Meats and decided to take the plunge and order a monthly subscription at £75 which reduced our meat spend to under £20 per week. I was apprehensive that we might end up with barely anything to feed us all but I have been pleasantly surprised. We have been able to have meat roughly twice a week, often there are leftovers which have stretched to cover 2 sometimes 3 meals! Meat has become genuinely enjoyable again, rather than the dull staple that readily available cheap meat has become. We do not purchase any extra meat from anywhere apart from the occasional sliced ham or chorizo. The meat has a beautiful flavour and a noticeably different smell and texture to supermarket meat, my children have commented that everything smells ‘extra yum’ during cooking and everyone feels more satisfied after eating.
One of the unexpected side effects that I cannot thank you enough for is how my life has genuinely changed. Due to dietary issues and financial difficulties I was spending a horrendous amount of time and mental energy on planning meals that were nutritious, varied, tasty and within budget. Having meat chosen for me has removed so much stress from this process, I pick out our Sunday meats as soon as the box arrives for roast or stew. Stew means 2 meals, roast usually leaves enough meat to add to a curry or chilli, the rest I divide up between the month and every other meal is plant-based or fish. The amount of time and energy I am saving has enabled me to focus more of my energy on hobbies and personal development. I buy whatever veg is in season and spend more money on fish than I was able to previously without adding more cost to the budget. I feel happier and relaxed and have even found that my fussy children have not been leaving a thing on their plates. All round we are feeling relaxed and happier in the knowledge that we are eating well and doing good. I can’t believe a meat box has triggered such a positive change in my life! I highly recommend trying it and have been shouting about it to all of my friends.

Review of Lamb Shoulder
Finger-licking good!
I’ve had a culinary pleasure to experience the taste of the lamb shoulder on the bone, simply slowly cooked at first with just a touch of salt, garlic and caraway seeds, and then roasted till meat was falling off the bone and the skin was crunchy. Licked my fingers (and hands and arms up to my elbows) after eating this! Meat was to die for, tender, flavoursome and with just the right amount of tasty fat – excellent for us, crazy folk on keto lifestyle. Can’t wait to empty my freezer a bit so I can stock up on this yumminess yet again. Well done, Primal Meats – whoever your supplier is, please keep them (and their lambs).

Review of Meats - General
Since I’ve been using your meat, cut down on carbs, cook everything from scratch I have changed my life: reversed my diabetes and lost weight. I do Tia Chi on a Tuesday, Zumba on Friday as well as weights, boxing and walking my dog. I will be 77 in January and life is great, not a pill in sight.

Review of Meats, Animal Welfare and Regenerative Land
When I started eating meat again I wanted to find a source where I could rest assured the welfare of animals is top priority and that the farmland is managed in a regenerative way; thank you guys for your amazing service and making it easy.
