About the farm:
The current owner purchased the farm from the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) in January 2020 and is committed to producing quality local food, organically and regeneratively. Some of the farm has been under organic management since 1986. The rest of the farm has been in conversion and will be fully organic in the Autumn of this year. In addition to the permanent pasture and new herbal grass leys grazed by the Hereford cattle and a flock of organic sheep, the farm also has a minimum tillage (no-plough) organic arable system and has started a market garden project to supply the local area with fresh organic vegetables, salads and herbs.
This cow share is Hereford beef raised at Ampney Brook Farm in Gloucestershire. The cattle are certified organic by the Soil Association and carry PFLA certification. The cattle are 100% grass fed on permanent pasture and herbal lay grazing areas. No concentrates are fed at all. As such, the cow share is filled with high-quality, nutrient-rich meat to help boost your health.
The meat from these Hereford animals contains plenty of marbled fat, making it full of flavour and extremely succulent. The meat is aged for 21 days before being packaged and dispatched to you.
The beef is VACUUM-PACKED, as the air has been removed from the packaging, the meat will stay fresh for up to 10 days in your refrigerator providing it is kept between 0-3 degrees C. The fresh mince needs to be frozen within 5 days from packing as it has been through a machine. All meat intended for freezing should be frozen as soon as possible after purchase. The quality of the meat is the same whether it is cooked from fresh or frozen. Once unfrozen, meat must not be refrozen unless cooked beforehand.

- 4 x Diced Stewing beef , (approx. 500g)
- 4 x Minced beef (approx. 500g)
- 2kg slow roasting joints (brisket, chuck roast, Jacobs ladder)
- 2kg kg roasting joints (topside, silverside)
- some stock bones
Delivery
This cow share is due to be delivered on Thursday 21st November 2024.
