Packaging and Delivery:
You Said: Packaging needs improvement
Our Action: We’re currently reviewing suppliers and various packaging methods to establish how we can improve the look and durability of our packaging. We are hoping to have new box liners, ice packs, decorative tissue paper and Primal Meats branded stickers/ stamps in the coming months.

You Said: Delivery needs improvement: Needs to be more reliable, offer multiple delivery days and reduce the price of shipping.
Our Action: We have just changed our delivery courier from APC to DPD so you will be able to track your parcels and receive a 1 hour delivery time-slot on the day or have the option to leave your parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour.
We can’t currently offer multiple delivery days as genuine 100% grass fed meat is hard to secure as there are only a small number of farms in the UK rearing to these standards. Our aim is to convince more farmers to convert by showing them there is demand, that’s the critical role you play. We are a small business and these animals are currently scarce. We have the incredibly difficult task of trying to guess what customers may want, a month in advance and ensuring you get it fresh without wasting a scrap of this precious meat.
To make the business work, the butchery (hub) collects the orders by Monday and does all the cutting over Monday and Tuesday. We also work with a small but fantastic pastured and organic chicken supplier that only slaughters once a week and a wild game supplier that provides all our amazing wild meats and sends them to our hub to add to the orders. All the orders are completed and packed on Wednesday, picked up by our reliable courier APC and delivered to you on Thursday.
We would like to offer multiple delivery days in the future but we would need to expand before being able to successfully offer this, if you would like to help us grow please see our Refer a friend program.
Our environmentally friendly packaging and delivery currently costs around £18 per order, this increases with orders over 10kgs. Therefore, we are currently subsidising the packaging and delivery, this will be something we continue to review.

New Products:
You Said: You would like us to supply the following products: Goats meat, butter, cream, tallow, fish, chesses, more stock bones and offal, ghee and raw milk, Rib-eye steak, chicken wings and an autoimmune box.
Our Actions:
Goat meat: We are looking at the issues that surround goat meat, there aren’t many suppliers and it isn’t possible to get 100% grass fed or organic goat meat at the moment.
Butter, cream, tallow, chesses: We are in discussions with our current suppliers to see whether they could provide this.
Fish: We are contacting several suppliers to introduce fish to our product offering, we are having to carefully review their methods to ensure their processes align with our ethos.
Stock bones and offal: Coming soon! In discussion with suppliers.
Ghee/ fats: We are investigating fat suppliers as we currently use up all of our animal fats at our hub.
Raw milk: Regulations on raw milk mean we are unable to supply this as it has to come directly from the supplier and ‘Primal Meats’ is classed as a retailer.
Rib-eye steak: Hopefully we will be able to offer this shortly, but it will be of limited amounts.
Chicken wings: Coming soon! In discussion with suppliers.

Online Updates:
You Said: You would like us to provide recipes.
Our Action: We have created a unique Pintrest Board filled with taste bud tingling recipes which are segmented by meat type to make it easy for you to navigate to the recipes you’ll love. We are also hoping to create a monthly video recipe for you to follow.

You Said: The website is tricky to navigate.
Our Action: We have scheduled to make changes to the website in the new year (2019), we are currently looking at the website navigation and beginning initial ideas on how we will develop the website to make it more user friendly.

You Said: You’re interested in hearing about new products, discounts, recipes, industry updates and blog posts.
Our Action: We have created a new email style to include a variety of topics in each email to meet your interests. We have reduced the frequency of long form, highly detailed, emails to balance out with our new email style. We also noticed that you were suggesting products we already have such as subscription boxes and chicken gizzards therefore we will be including a ‘product of the month’ within our new emails to highlight the variety of products available.

You Said: Some products don’t fully meet the description on the website.
Our Action: It is a long process as we have around 170 pages on www.primalmeats.co.uk but we are reviewing each page to check over its content and ensure it is up-to-date with our butchers.

Customer Service:
You Said: Could improve customer service and responses.
Our Action: During office hours, we will always have someone on our website chat function for any urgent enquiries. If for whatever reason, we are not available on the website chat function, we can be reached on email at [email protected], we will aim to respond to all customer emails within 48 hours (unless over a weekend). We are also trying to develop a way we can send you an email to review your order which should highlight any issues you are facing so we can fix these as quickly as possible.

You Said: You’re interested in a loyalty program.
Our Action: We are looking at website plugins to make this a possibility, we are currently reviewing what we can offer and will update you once we have confirmed a loyalty program. We have just introduced a Refer a friend program which rewards you with a 10% off discount once your referee has made a purchase.
