The venison comes from from estates in Lancashire and Cumbria. It is the product of sustainable land management. The Roe and Red deer are allowed to roam free over the many acres of land, eating naturally. The difference in hunting techniques has changed however. We no longer need to go primal and arm ourselves with spears to get venison; our modern-day paleo hunters are the gamekeepers. These professionals stalk with extreme care which means the venison comes to us from a stress and fear-free environment.
The meat in this diced wild venison pack is packed with nutrients and vitamins, especially vitamin B and iron. Venison, particularly wild venison, tends to be lower in fat than beef, and the fatty acids present tend to be higher in Omega 3 (the good guys) lower in Omega 6 (the not-so-good guys). And of course, the deer have roamed free, eating a diet that is natural, balanced and right for their nutritional needs. All this goodness is passed to us in the meat. It’s perfectly Paleo.
